Summer 2026! ... and a hot one it is!
As we enjoy our Summer, I am filled with such joy at all the green that surrounds me. As you may know, the color of the Heart Chakra is green. As someone who is often led by my Heart Chakra, I feel things (almost too) intensely. The lush green around me fills and strengthens my spirit to 'just keep doing the work' (as Janet Mentgen would say).
The basis of Healing Touch includes science, energetics, and Attributes of the Heart Center as outlined by Dr. Brugh Joy: Compassion, Unconditional Love, Healing Presence, Innate Harmony - together they facilitate selfless, joyful Service. Breathing in those attributes is the beginning of my twice-daily meditations; and when working with a client, it is a vital part of my practitioner preparation before each session.
The heart center is the seat of forgiveness, inclusiveness, empathy and patience, bridging physical and spiritual energies. (Dr. Brugh Joy, 1979). And I would add kindness to that. I find the daily emails from David R. Hamilton, PhD, helpful reminders to practice kindness - much needed in today's world - and in the work I do.
In the spirit of 'doing the work', I held my co-teaching Healing Touch Course 2 on June 27/28 with Diane Rothman, who was my very first Healing Teach instructor. In Course 2, we review Course 1 techniques, as well as add techniques to help reduce/relieve back pain, a technique to support the Glymphatic System, and a full-body technique that focuses on bringing the essence of the Heart Chakra to the other Chakras. In addition, we review the Framework for a Healing Touch Session and allow time to practice multiple full sessions.
My next Course 2 Class will be the weekend of October 17th and 18th at the Healing Touch Center in Farmington Hills.
In addition, I have scheduled practice sessions at the Healing Touch Center for the following dates/times:
✔ June 17 from 1-3pm
✔ July 9 from 9-11am (Hybrid)
✔July 22 from 12:30-2:30pm (Hybrid)
I look forward to connecting with you – whether it be in a class or a practice group or a phone call or even just a text to say hello. I love sharing Healing Touch, be it teaching, volunteering at our local Healing Touch Center or working with a private client. It continues to be my go-to for self-care – and is what keeps me going during stressful times. If you’d like to experience a session and see how it can help – or just have a curiosity as to ‘what the heck is Healing Touch’ – reach out. I’d love to hear from you.
